The Friends of the Celery Bog – Nature Science Journal – is an offshoot of the Friends of Celery Bog blog/site. The main blog/site is for communication of the FoCB efforts political and social. However, the FoCB-NSJ is about what is found at the Celery Bog day-in-and-day-out: Nature and the Science surrounding it.
FoCB-NSJ will conduct cataloging exercises of the various life forms found withing the Celery Bog property. Also, in combination with other interested parties and groups, we will also catalog transitory wildlife using the area.
FoCB-NSJ will also work closely with local schools and Purdue University to provide an archive of education information on the Celery Bog as well as study opportunities for students and faculty.
FoCB-NSJ will also seek funding for the scientific efforts and the assembly of this catalog/archive.
FoCB-NSJ would like to hear what you, the membership and the general public have to say about our idea and plans. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
